The CLA Epic features the Chris's 4 input delays (SLAP, THROW, TAPE, CROWD) and 4 input reverbs (PLATE, ROOM, HALL, SPACE). All modules are based on Chris' settings for his favorite studio hardware, which he uses in various combinations in each of his mixes.
Whether it's used on vocals, drums, synthesizers, guitars, or other instruments - CLA Epic opens the door to more depth in your mixes and productions.
Mix reverb and delays the CLA way
The key to the depth of the CLA sound is the way it creatively combines various effects - sending various delays to various reverbs on each track and controlling the exact mix with its console faders.
CLA Epic offers all these rich possibilities in one plugin. Now you can combine CLA's most epic reverbs and delays in the same creative way. No need to open up different effects plug-ins to get a rich soundscape: at any time, you can activate any or all 8 CLA Epic effects modules and combine them easily using the plugin's console-type faders.
To make things even easier, CLA Epic always loads with Chris' default settings for each effect. You can dig deep and tweak all the familiar parameters (as well as some surprising ones). But first, just load the standard modules, mix up the different effects, and hear the magic of CLA in action.
The secret to depth: sending delays to reverbs
strong>Chris Lord-Alge has an extra secret to deep mixing: he sends his delays to his reverbs so that the delays become part of the overall sonic landscape.
CLA Epic lets you send any delay to any reverb, plus the option to run the effects in parallel. With the click of a button, you can choose to send each delay to the Output only, only to (one or all) reverbs, or to all at once. Routing effects that would take hours in your DAW now takes seconds.
