SPAN Plus

SPAN Plus is a real-time "fast Fourier transform" audio spectrum analyzer plug-in for professional music and audio production applications. For the most part, it was derived from the Voxengo GlissEQ dynamic parametric equalizer and reproduces its spectrum analysis functionality. SPAN Plus is an extended version of the freeware SPAN plugin: SPAN Plus provides several additional features such as PNG file export, real-time spectrum import/export and static spectra display.
SPAN Plus provides a system flexible "mode" that you can use to configure spectrum analyzer preferences. You can specify the Fourier block size on the samples, the FFT window overlap percentage, the visual slope of the spectrum. In addition, you can choose to display secondary spectrum of a desired type (eg real-time maximum, all-time maximum). Spectrum can be visually smoothed for easier examination.
SPAN Plus supports multi-channel analysis and can be configured to display spectra from two channels or groups of different channels at the same time. Spectrum color can be chosen to taste.
SPAN Plus also features output level measurement with adjustable ballistics and integration time, K system measurement (including calibration K system measurement). SPAN Plus displays level measurement statistics, headroom estimation, and clipping detection. Correlation measurement is also available.
