A Classic 8-Voice Analog Synthesizer with Modern Touches
The OB-E is GForce's iteration of a late 1970s megachord 8-voice analog synth. Known for its depth and dimension sonics, this vintage 49-key synth generated its muscular sound via eight stacked synth expander modules, each with two VCOs, two ADS envelope generators, an LFO, and a wicked-sounding multimode filter. While each module was monophonic, with eight of them available, this 8-voice synthesizer was capable of a range of complex sonic textures. The GForce OB-E is a realistic emulation of the original, but raises the bar with a third oscillator that functions as an LFO, a new LFO for contemporary voice and velocity, polyphonic aftertouch and MPE control. And unlike its all-analog predecessor, the OB-E isn't difficult to program, thanks to modern software-based editing. You'll also get an inspiring 8-step sequencer. In addition, the OB-E includes 600 factory-ready mix patches, all tagged and categorized for easy navigation.
