Most audio instruments have a character distinct defined by harmonics and formants. While formants are pretty static in the spectrum, so you can change them directly with the equalizer, harmonics are more problematic because they follow the pitch. MCharacter allows you to control the levels of the first 32 harmonics in a very simple and effective way. When working directly in the spectrum domain, the plugin's ability to detect pitch is excellent and changes are instantaneous, making it outperform traditional equalizers in almost every way.
What happens if some harmonics aren't there? Or what if you want to generate a sub-octave, for example? Well, before it was practically impossible, but MCharacter makes it very simple. It allows you to synthesize harmonics and tones that don't exist using 2 simple graphics. Just say how much you want!
