Halo Upmix

With the new release, Halo upmix now enables multichannel-to-multichannel mixing, offering new levels of versatility and time savings in surround audio production.
Available in Avid AAX, VST and UA formats, Halo upmix automates creating a stereo-to-surround compatible downmix upmix with single center channel management and spatial density controls.
The latest version of the plug-in adds a new set of algorithms for multi-channel audio mixing (LCR, Quad ( 4.0), 5.0, 5.1, 7.0 and 7.1), either 5.1, 7.1, or 9.1 (7.1.2). This expanded multichannel support means that Halo Upmix users have an even greater variety of options for mixing, while the update also includes other modifications designed to improve user operability and finesse the interface customization process.

Powerful real-time analysis of original or sound multichannel identifies materials and extracts locational cues, to naturally extend the picture - without introducing any artificial reverb, chorusing or downmix delay - leaving the inherent character of the original source intact.
Because Halo generates a coherent spatial sound , you can be assured of a high quality mix. The 'exact' mode function ensures final downmix performance where, as in TV re-purposing for example, maintaining the relationship between the original, upmixed and downmixed versions is imperative.
For those situations that demand an immersive cinematic dynamic, control Full is available from all relative surround balances, allowing any immersive upmix to be crafted for a seamless mix to the full 7.1 panorama.
Center channel extraction and control is provided in a separate 'advanced' panel for use when it deals with complex mixtures, where no access to the original rods is available, offering unprecedented control - including neural network-based dialogue extraction.
Halo also includes a powerful spatial view that intuitively shows the energy distribution of the upmixed panorama. Color can also be used to indicate speaker source for audio in any position, clearly indicating cases including ghost vs hard center predominance etc. Product features
