GRM Tools Spaces

GRM Tools Spaces contains 4 powerful multi-channel plug-ins that let you control how your sound sources move in the sound field, be it a simple stereo file, a multi-channel setup, or a multi-speaker broadcast network. It gives you control over where you want to find your sound and/or where you want it to go.

New for 2019, Spaces now includes the new Spaces3D module , which allows you to move your source in three dimensions.

Get unprecedented control of the sound field with full automation of positions and trajectories, as well as being able to spatialize your signal in up to 4 independent frequency bands or even allow the generation of up to 100 grains of spatial positions to which you can randomly make your sounds jump.

GRM Tools Spaces is a powerful tool that allows for positioning and moving a multichannel source (1 to 32 channels) into a multichannel space (2 (stereo) to 32 channels). It has a user-friendly graphical interface that shows the location and intensity of fonts as they move through the multichannel project.

Spaces also includes three other exciting modules that expand the possibilities for positioning your fonts in a soundfield, SpaceGrain, SpaceFilter and Spaces3D.

The Spaces3D allows you to move a multichannel sound source (from 1 to 64 channels) in a multichannel space (1 to 64 channels) in three dimensions. The movement can be free, random or can follow trajectories predetermined by the user.

The SpaceGrain allows the generation of up to 100 'grains' and their placement in a multichannel sound space. This gives you 100 points where your sounds are randomly assigned from point to point. Each grain provides a mono site for sources to be heard. Input channels (up to 8) are randomly allocated to grains. You can add delay and feedback to create extremely creative effects.

SpaceFilter is used to spatialize the signal using 4 independent frequency bands that you can define. The spectrum of the input signal is divided into 4 independent bands, where you choose the center frequency and bandwidth to which you can apply delay and feedback. The output of each filter can be placed individually in a multi-channel space (up to 32 channels can be used). You can separate different frequency elements from your source and have different resonances fly between the speakers according to time if you wish. Your imagination is the only limit to what you can make happen with Spacefilter.

Spaces with all its positioning, delay and resonance adjustments opens up creative possibilities to add effects that have never been heard before. For post-production mixers, it provides a tool to fine-tune the placement of sources and accentuate the movement of sounds that accompany the images. It's a powerful new set of tools that can make sounds fly behind you, in front of you, up and down, and of course side to side any way you want with full control.

Two other modules, SpaceMaster and SpaceVR, are now available as standalone freeware.

The SpaceMaster < /b>allows you to identify and calibrate different multichannel output channels (1 to 64) and place the input channels in the output space.
