10 Voice Subtractive Synthesizer with 100 Sounds
For the FabFilter One, we put a lot of effort into creating the best cut-off filter ever. Our new design approach has resulted in the fattest and smoothest auto-oscillating digital filter you've ever heard. It has been carefully tuned for the character and warmth of a classic analog synthesizer. The FabFilter One's filter looks crude, but it's never cheap or 'digital', even at full resonance.
The filter is powered by a solid sound oscillator. High quality, developed from scratch to be completely aliasing free. Features sawtooth, triangle and square wave shapes with pulse width modulation.
Oscillator and filter can be modulated by LFO and EG. The LFO offers square and triangle waveforms with adjustable wave balance so that any waveform between sawtooth and triangle can be selected. Time can be synchronized with host. The EG has the usual ADSR knobs, but with a perfectly tuned feel. Furthermore, it has an additional standby setting that extends the time keys.
What the FabFilter One stands out for is the attention to detail and adjustments that are visible throughout the plugin. For example, the portamento feature not only slides from note to note, but uses a carefully selected algorithm to make its performance livelier and provide just a little bit of magic.
Intelligent Parameter Interpolation handles changes to any of the FabFilter One's parameters, ensuring smooth responsiveness and transitions. There are no annoying digital clicks and zipper effects, and even MIDI controller changes are executed perfectly.
Naturally, the FabFilter One plug-in handles all the parameter changes with sample accuracy and can be used with arbitrary sampling rates. All parameters are fully automatable on your favorite host and via MIDI Learn. The included help file describes all FabFilter One features in detail, along with overviews and tutorials for creating various types of sounds.
