Echorec Vintage devices are known for their Saturation, Auto-Swing, and Oversound, all shaping music produced in the 70s. They are also, however, known for being fragile and difficult to maintain.
The plug-in Pulsar Echorec gives you a faithful emulation of this legendary echo unit; In addition, many workflow improvements have been added to the original, such as the ability to change the engine speed (and thus the delay time) in real time or to sync it at any time, including a tagged time.
Three different units, under different conditions, have also been precisely modeled, having all sounds from the cleanest magnetic delay, to the most grunge.
These additions and the signature sound of the Binson Echorec 2 make this echo an indispensable tool for any mixer that wants to add subtle analog life, which is sorely lacking in digital delay plug-ins.product features
authentic tube sound... The exact sound of the Binson Echorec's all-tube input section has been precisely replicated . Special attention was paid to the modeling of pre-emphasis filters.
Magnetic field recreation... Any sound passing through a magnetic device is modified in a particular way. Complex processes on the Echorec disk involving magnetic saturation and hysteresis were precisely modelled.
Stereo Drift... As an improvement to the original hardware design, we've added the possibility of slightly detuning the left and right channels. The result is a great stereo echo with precisely placed repeats.
creative engineers modulations...sound always has its tricks. One of the coolest things with Echorec is the ability to slow the dial down with one finger, which results in creative tuning modulation or wow and vibration effects on the slowed signal.
Three wear states... Any unit Binson found nowadays has traveled 50 years through time. Some are in mint condition, and some are used. During our measurements, Pulsar found that each unit had a special color, and some are pretty good regardless of the unit's condition.
Off Mode... Some effects just sound incredibly good, even when they're not supposed to affect the sound . Binson Echorec is one of them. Then Pulsar carefully designed an Off mode that reproduces the color and grain of the delayed signal without any delay.Protection Type
