Chorus with a real analog feel
With so many chorus effects plugins on the market, it's easier said than done to find one capable of delivering analog sound truly authentic.
With that in mind, we set out to create the ultimate analog choir emulation, inspired by the revered effects found in classic synths like the Solina String Ensemble, Elka Synthex and Roland Juno-106. The fruit of our work is Syntorus 2, the newest addition to the Silver Line plugin series.
The Syntorus 2's unique analog sound enriches any instrument aimed at it, bringing life and movement to basses and synth tracks and adding depth and exuberance to guitars and other electric/acoustic instruments.

Now for the science ...
Chorus with a true analogue feel
The classic chorus effect is created by mixing an audio signal with one or more delayed copies and with pitch modulation. It is logical, then, that the delay line module is the most important part of any chorus unit. For Syntorus 2, we built an extremely accurate model of a high-quality BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) analog delay line in the digital domain - the resulting emulation has an incredibly warm musical sound, without unwanted digital artifacts.
Three BBD delay lines
Most chorus effect units only use a single delay, but Syntorus 2 uses three analog delay lines for conjure a richer, fuller, and deeper chorus sound. It also offers a choice of two BBD delay line models: by default the chorus effect is exceptionally clean and primitive, but turning on Analog BBD Emulation adds even more warmth and analog characters to the signal. And it goes without saying that full control is granted over all delay line parameters, giving you absolute freedom to sculpt the sound.
Configurable Modulation
The Syntorus 2's three LFO generators serve as flexible modulation sources, routed to the delay lines in various switchable topologies. Timeline locked host synchronization and independent adjustment of left / right phase shift further extend the spectrum of creative possibilities.
Filter and tremolo
Each delay line has a multimode filter and a built-in tremolo effect, both governed by the same modulation sources as the delay time. The filter is ideal for preparing convincing Leslie sounds, especially when delay modulation is used to simulate the directional characteristic and Doppler effect of a rotary speaker. Tremolo can be used alone or added to the modulated delay line to create even more dynamic sounds - it's particularly effective on keyboards and guitars.
Full Sync
Each LFO can be independently synced to the host's DAW, allowing the rate to be set to musical note values as the project progresses. This in itself won't surprise you, of course, but with Syntorus 2, the stage is also perfectly synced with the playhead's position within your project, ensuring that your chorus always sounds exactly as it should at any point on the timeline.
