The Grammy® winning mixer, Chris Lord-Alge, famous Mix LA studio control room for any pair of headphones - so you can reliably monitor in headphones and make better mixing decisions anywhere, anytime.

After faithfully modeling Chris' console and classic hardware equipment in previous plug-ins, Waves and CLA finally teamed up to replicate Chris' room acoustics and monitoring system. The CLA Nx plugin combines Waves Nx spatial audio technology with accurate Mix LA measurements to model the acoustic response of Chris's mixing room within any set of headphones.

Built. by premier studio designer Vincent Van Hoff, Mix LA has been Chris Lord-Alge's studio since 2008. This is the room he's trusted to deliver mixes for Bruce Springsteen, Green Day, Muse and countless top artists.

Chris's full monitoring setup is now available on any headset via CLA Nx. These include the acoustic response of Chris' modeled NS10 CLA-10 near-field monitors, along with their subwoofer system; its custom Ocean Way speakers, modified to your specifications; and even the boombox model he relies on to see how his mixes will translate to tiny speakers.

CLA Nx is powered by Waves' pioneering Nx technology for immersive spatial audio. Waves Nx uses channel crosstalk, interaural delays (ITD), filters (ILD), early reflections and head movement tracking to replicate the immersive experience of listening to real-world audio. All of these are coupled with Mix LA's precision acoustic measurements to provide a faithful “out-of-head” three-dimensional representation of the real room.

The CLA Nx also supports head tracking - eng via your webcam or device Waves Nx Head Tracker Dedicated Bluetooth - for enhanced realism of the immersive three-dimensional spatial effect.
