Due to the highly intelligent programming, solo instruments can be easily combined into small or large sections through section mode. Several "ready to use" section instruments are also included. The intuitive user interface is mainly focused on better gameplay. Various legato and glide-mode features allow for very realistic note transitions, while great new functions such as key vibrato, hotkeys and the revolutionary new key concept are essential for live performance.
All instruments follow the same concept; therefore, when you know one, you know them all. Each volume contains solo instruments as well as combinations of sections.
All instruments were played by famous big band musicians in separate sections, but with each other, which results in perfect harmony of the sections and allows for the maximum flexibility for the producer.

Joints - The sheer amount of up to 38 joints is what makes "Chris Hein - Horns" so realistic. All articulations can be assigned to more than 18 keys, located in the lower notes of the keyboard. Access to all joints is possible through an intuitive combination of key switches and midi-controllers.
Key switches - 'Keyswitching' is an elegant way to allow the user to directly and immediately access different reproduction techniques of a single patch. It uses pre-programmed MIDI notes to instantly switch between different articulations, meaning you no longer need to reload each variant individually. The key switches themselves are just controller keys. They do not emit sound, but are used to switch the entire group of samples that the instrument's main keys trigger.
Key Presets - Normally keys they just alternate between different fixed articulations or other pre-programmed sound variations. On CHH Vol1, key switches are used to toggle between complex sets of presets with 21 adjustable parameters. There are 18 selector switch presets available. KS presets are allocated to C0 - F1 in the lower keyboard area. You must press the key before playing the actual notes. Switching takes place instantly, without any time delay.
Pressing a key between C0 and F1 on the keyboard has the same effect as turning the KS-Preset knob on the GUI . You can also assign KS-Presets to any midi controller from the CC Settings page. The selected articulation is displayed on the left side of the GUI. All parameters in settings page except Vib. Vol, Vib.Tune, Crescendo-Speed and Glide-Speed are adjustable parameters that are stored in the KS presets. If you make changes to any of these parameters, they will automatically be stored in KS-Preset. To permanently save KS-Presets, simply save the entire instrument.
