Auto Time Adjuster

Auto Time Adjuster

ATA Auto Time Adjuster is a plugin delay compensation (PDC) plugin designed to ensure precise audio timing in digital audio workstations (DAWs). Initially developed for Pro Tools LE 7 & 8 (RTAS) due to their lack of built-in PDC, ATA remains a valuable tool for newer Pro Tools versions (9+/AAX) that do have PDC. It offers several advantages, including a large latency limit of 50,000 samples and increased accuracy in measuring plugin latency directly, even for outboard gear.

ATA functions by inserting it on each track in a mix. It measures the actual latency of all plugin and outboard inserts using a short burst of audio, or "ping," triggered from the ATA on the master fader. Based on these measurements, ATA calculates and sets appropriate delays for each ATA on each track or bus, ensuring that all tracks are aligned for the tightest possible timing.

Features:

Ping-based delay compensation
Compatibility with software and hardware inserts
Individual ATA locking
Manual latency entry
Group delay preview in the Pro Tools mixer
Large latency limit of 50,000 samples
Increased timing accuracy through direct latency measurement
Outboard insert support
64-bit AAX format
Latest version: 2.9
