The Impulse Response Browser contains a keyword search field, one-click download and installation of new Impulse Responses (free).

Pick any sound from your tracks or the Finder and play it in the Altiverb to use it as an impulse response. Try piano chords, glass breakers, spoken words, thunder or a drum loop. In convolution, each input sample is replaced by the entire impulse response. So if you use a piano chord as impulse response and clap your hands on Altiverb, the chord comes out.

Physically correct sound placement using Altiverb Stage Positioner creates an incredibly realistic audio panorama.

Music Gates and Delays
To further tie reverb effects to tracks, the Altiverb 7 has a reverb gate set to the note values. And it's tied to the tempo of your music. Any reverb tail can be reversed and manipulated in the same way, and Altiverb's pre-delay can also be set that way, so it's easy to put that return delay in a musical location.
Altiverb Brightness Control
Brightness and Chaos
The Brightness parameter fits neatly into a classic synthetic reverb on top of impulse response . This adds a specific glow in a way EQ never can. Throw some chaotic modulation into your reverb and not all hits will sound identical in the reverb. Slightly out-of-tune notes will be masked in the tail of the reverb by modulation.
Post Spaces
Altiverb Acoustic Library contains hundreds of spaces aimed at publishing audio for photos. This includes 18 rooms, 30 interiors of cars, trains, boats, lots of streets and forests, the cockpit of a Boeing 747, clubs, sports stadiums, bathrooms, lockers and lockers.
Full Recall Automation
Everything, including the impulse response option, is automatable in Altiverb 7. That means you don't need to jump hoops to simply automate Altiverb 7 100% accurately. While there are still single-click snapshots, you don't need them to fully automate Altiverb.

You don't have to endlessly browse hundreds of spaces to find exactly what you need. Altiverb 7 has a powerful keyword search field so you can search for items like 'metallic resonances' 'bedroom', 'smack street' or 'brick room'
Find similar sounding IRs
Have you found a space that works, but it still doesn't? You can adjust the EQ or Damping parameters, but you can also try the Altiverb 'Similar' button. It will list a number of alternatives similar to the currently chosen impulse response.
Walls, Floors and Doors
Altiverb contains many samples made through walls, doors and floors. If you need a spurned lover to beg behind the front door, listen to the neighbors party, or practice piano upstairs, look for the category next to Impulse Responses.
